Douro 2019 harvest field work 2

    The last days of the 2019 harvest at the Wine & Soul winery (the producer of "Pintas" Port wine and "Pintas", "Guru", "Quinta da Manoella" and "Manoella" DOC Douro wines), in Vale de Mendiz, Pinhão river valley (Cima Corgo Douro sub-region) and the last days of the house team ininterrupted and arduous work since last August.

The "remains of the day".
After emptying the lagares (granite treading tanks), the remaining solid masses (a mixture of wine, grape skins and pips) are ready for the final pressing process.

The recent Port wine produced, in stainless steel vats awaits the transfer to the port  wine cellar large wood vats, at Quinta da Manoella.

Some of the french oak "Seguin Moreau" barrels dry after being washed, and prepared to start a new cicle ageing the Wine & Soul DOC Douro red wines.
