# A walk through the Douro spring gardens

 The PtoPw portfolio.

Quinta do Bom Retiro (Ramos Pinto), River Torto Valley, Valença do Douro

It´s really a privilege to contemplate this unique scenary and all the elements that make up the harmony and balance of the Douro landscape.

In one of the few sunny days in a more greyer and rainy spring than usual, the hills are alive... the vines are awakening and the cycle begins again with the vine sprouting, through to branching and flowering.

With our senses awake, let us enrich our olfactory memory because here the spring smells are intense and even if we do not consider the aromatic mimicry thesis, it is impossible not to remember these aromas when we taste the wines produced here.

We can rightly say that there is here "an intimate link between the product quality and the beauty of the landscape".
